To further serve the northeast Ohio community and support our own continued growth, Childcare Solutions acquired the assets of Buckingham Nannies and Housekeepers^® from Maxine Turkington in November of 2002. In the spring of 2004 we added professional DOULAs to our list of available services. In 2005, Childcare Solutions launched The Sitter Cafe - the first web site in the US designed both to help families locate local babysitters and to protect care providers from predators, incorporating state-of-the-art ID Verification systems and hyper-accurate geo-coding technology.

Childcare Solutions is recognized nationally as a leader in private child care referral and placement services. We are frequently sought out by the media when they are researching trends and best practice information regarding the in-home child care industry. Mr. Gerard can often be seen quoted in magazine and newspaper throughout the US. Mr. Gerard has served as an adjunct to the board of directors of the INA (International Nanny Association) managing the INA's Educational Resources website section and is a past board member of the APNA (Alliance of Premier Nanny Agencies).
